This is Shaanxi: Yongxing Fang in Xi’an【这里是陕西·西安永兴坊】
永兴坊位于西安城墙中山门内北侧顺城巷，占地15亩，一千四百多年前，中国史上久负盛名的谏臣魏征就住在这里。这里主要以关中牌坊和具有民间传统的建筑群组合，形成坊式布局，展示古长安城的街坊式形态和历史生活气息，以及传统民俗生活空间。
Yongxing Fang, located in Shuncheng Lane on the north side of Zhongshan Gate of Xi'an City Wall, covers an area of 15 Mu (10,000 square meters). Wei Zheng, a well-known officer in ancient China famous for his frank admonishment against the emperor, lived here more than 1,400 years ago. Yongxing Fang mainly features in Guanzhong(center region of Shaanxi) Paifang and buildings with traditional folk characteristics, forming a “Fang-style” layout. The entire scenic area well showcases the neighborhood and life atmosphere of the ancient Chang’an city.
Fang (as in “Yongxing Fang”): subdivision of a city in ancient China, functioning as residential, commercial or administrative districts.
Paifang: Chinese traditional architectural arch or gateway structure.
永兴坊汇集了陕西各地特色美食经营户五十余家，不但有正宗的的陕西民间小吃还有手工民俗技艺表演。最具特色的就是“摔碗酒”，关中人的豪情与“碎碎平安”的美好愿望都展现在了这掷地有声的碎片中。
Yongxing Fang brings together more than 50 food caterers with cuisine all over Shaanxi. Other than authentic Shaanxi folk cuisine, hand-crafted folklore performances are also a highlight here, and the "wine bowl smashing" enjoys most of the spotlight. From the sharp sound of bowl smashing, we see the passion of Guanzhong people and the bless contained in slang"Sui Sui Ping An"(Chinese idiom: smash for the greatness of next year).
一到晚上，永兴坊内华灯初上。位于坊间正中央的关中楼灯火通明，一派热闹景象。仿佛穿越到千年前最繁华的闹市之中，唐朝 “108坊” 的盛貌展现无遗。
As the night falls, all the lights are on. Guanzhong Tower, standing in the central square of Yongxing Fang, lights up the whole scenic area and reflects great excitement. Wandering among the shops, you may capture the grand scene of the "108 Fang" in the most prosperous city during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
